Wet Walnuts in Syrup

Remember the days of the wet walnut sundae? We wanted to make walnuts in syrup for ice cream that would take that old-time classic to the next level using real Saratoga Maple Syrup.

We created a maple walnut topping with just 2 simple ingredients, Toasted Walnuts in Pure Maple Syrup. The result is a sticky nutty topping worthy of the highest quality vanilla ice cream or even as a glaze on your morning pancakes or waffles.  Don't be afraid to also pour this maple walnut ice cream topping on muffins or coffee cake.  Using it on more than ice cream can be our little secret!

Use it as a maple walnut glaze on coffee cake, baked goods, ham, or anything else you can think of.

What are Wet Walnuts?

If you haven't tried them, you are in for an addictive treat!  They are generally a dessert topping that is traditionally made with walnuts and maple syrup.  However, over the years, people became accustomed to Smucker's Walnuts in Syrup which replaced the real maple syrup with corn syrup for large scale commercial production.  Recently they discontinued these!  Other imitators have emerged, but the classic recipe still holds true to be the most delicious!  We have perfected the walnuts to syrup ratio in our recipe and are sure that you will struggle to put the jar down!  Saratoga Maple's wet walnuts are everything you remember from the ice cream parlor and ready to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Remember to store your Maple Walnut Topping in the refrigerator after opening.
